At Infinity Martial Arts, we believe martial arts is more than learning kicks and punches. It is about building strong character and developing life skills that help students succeed on and off the mats. One of the most important parts of our culture is our Teammate Code: Respect. Protect. Empower. These three words guide every class, every partnership, and every challenge our students face. They remind us that martial arts is not just about individual progress, but about creating a community where everyone can grow. The Infinity Teammate Code Here’s what each part of our code means in action: When students live by this code, they don’t just become stronger martial artists. They become leaders in life. Why It Matters At Infinity, our goal is not only to build Black Belts in skill, but also Black Belts in character. Respect. Protect. Empower. gives our students a simple way to remember the bigger picture — martial arts is about helping yourself and others grow stronger together. This lesson is especially important for kids today. Children face challenges at school, in friendships, and even online. When they learn to show respect, they strengthen relationships. When they learn to protect themselves and others, they grow courage and confidence. When they learn to empower, they become leaders who inspire their peers. The Teammate Code also builds trust between families, coaches, and students. Parents see their child practicing responsibility at home. Coaches see students taking ownership of their training. And students see that they are part of something bigger than themselves. Simply put: the Teammate Code creates a safe, encouraging environment where kids can grow into the best version of themselves. This Week’s Focus: Living the Code This week in class, our students are learning how to live the Infinity Teammate Code everywhere they go. We are asking them to think about: How can I show Respect at home? How can I show Protect at school? How can I show Empower at the dojo? By practicing these small daily choices, students begin to see how martial arts values apply far beyond the mats. 🥋 Life Skill Challenge of the Week We are challenging students to choose one way to show Respect, Protect, or Empower this week at home, school, or the dojo. Parents, you can help by encouraging your child to share their example with you and celebrating their effort.
✅ Respect: Working hard, listening to coaches, and treating others with kindness at home, school, and in the dojo.
✅ Protect: Using martial arts the right way. Protecting ourselves when needed, but also standing up for others and stopping bullying when we see it.
✅ Empower: Lifting others up by cheering on a teammate, celebrating someone else’s success, and leading by example.
